Came from bombing in Kyiv – Petrenko thanked for three years in Norway

The Petrenko couple were trapped in the rain of bombs in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and prayed to Our Lord. At the same time, Vision Norway’s leader, Jan Hanvold, called them again and again and asked them to come to Norway. That was three years ago.

The two first met when Hanvold was at a conference in Ukraine. On the last day of his stay, he heard Christian singing and music in one of the hotel’s halls. Petrenko’s congregation was in this room. Jan Hanvold opened the door and went in. For Victor Petrenko, Hanvold was no stranger. He had followed meetings that Rodney Howard Browne had led and where Hanvold had participated.
It was a cordial meeting and Hanvold ended up speaking in Petrenko’s congregation.
Three years passed. When Russia attacked Ukraine and the bombs began to fall, Vision Norway’s leader quickly got on the phone with a clear message to Petrenko: – You have to come here.

-Norway has blessed us!

And so it was. Tatiana’s mother was also there. She was sick and passed away during the three years in Norway. On “Studio Direkte” on Thursday evening, Petrenko thanked them for the work that was put in to get them here.

-We are happy that God gave us this time in Norway, said Victor Petrenko on the broadcast on Thursday evening. – I believe it was God’s connections that Jan Hanvold called us with a prayer to come. Norway is a blessed country. And Norway has blessed us, said Petrenko, who was clear in his message:
-Without Jesus, the world will perish. When we lived for 30 days in the rain of bombs in Kyiv, we turned to Our Lord. We worshipped Jesus and remained calm while buildings exploded outside.

Thanks for the support they have shown

Jan Hanvold thanked during the broadcast for the support the couple has had in Norway, both with singing, preaching and intercession. His wife Tatiana was a worship leader in the church in Kyiv and has also practiced during her time in Norway.
Now they are off to the USA. Whether they return to Norway – or Ukraine – sometime in the future, only God knows.
